Fake Plants 02:06
Cashing out when your time has come Lashing out when you know you’re wrong You push away everyone And that’s on you What a lazy life you live Oblivious to anything That ain’t at your front door And that’s on you It takes time to change It takes want to grow But you squander both A ways away from a human being Looking down from the ledge you’re on Double down on shit you know is wrong Swan dive into oblivion The joke’s on you What a shitty life you live Hostile to everything That knocks on your front door But that’s just you It takes time to change It takes want to grow But you squander both It’s on you Plastic melts in high heat It’s on you You’re not fooling anyone

Upper Hand 02:06
In case this doesn’t make it to you I’ll broadcast it through satellites. I know you’re always in tune. A conduit for regret. Just when you thought you had the upper hand it pulls away, Struck down and out of my control. Words spoke so much that they lose meaning, Sometimes I talk out loud to nothing. Turn myself away From doorways and daydreaming. Fools luck runs out just in time to face yourself, If I act weird, it’s cuz I know that now. There is still time left to abandon what you were, And try to focus on beginning again. See you on the other side
3.
Distinguish 02:31
Remember schoolyard nights And bright red swollen eyes? Watching a fight spill across concrete. From porch to street, A beat of recklessness played on But what do we have to show for it? Is it boasting or chest beating? Like that’s even worth a shit. Is there currency in losing track of time? Where’s the value in it? You wear it like a badge but it’s baggage to me Send me back, I’d do it differently Don’t be surprised if you see me Walking the other way You can hold a knife in the dead of night But you’re losing every time Crush up a pill for every second That you wasted all on nothing
4.
Endeavor 01:57
Distance is only a measurement You can run for miles on end End up back where you began Time is the culprit of breaking spirits It tears us limb from limb Can you see just up ahead? Dragging a battered sense of self Fixated on a living hell A new endeavor, new chance at failure But maybe not this time A constant fear of standing on the edge of ruin, But a glimmer in the dark was shining brighter than the last was I can’t find a way to let this go

For Matty 02:28
Too much time spent on corners begging to be anchored Locked out and the landline’s off the hook You always stayed until the sun came up next day. Never stop the brightness you still bring In dreams where i’m still hoping for a way To come unplugged and tell you one last thing (Are you out there? Can you hear me? Are you out there?) Wish I went to Colorado, Wish I picked up the phone I held on to that last message you left We were young and numb, We were reeling from the thorns of every day Tried to bail out on A war we never won and probably never will Why won’t you haunt me now? I keep a window open Just in case we start again Why won’t you haunt me now? Just in case we start again.
7.
Enough is enough. You can keep on complaining, Or you can offer solutions That may push us in better directions. No, here you are spewing shit just like you’ve always been. Avoiding anything productive. Just listen back to everything you said, Tell me you’re not overcompensating. Just say you’ll never act, Or decide to start today. Anything less will just get in the way Start again, just say when I stand in my own way, I know the road to hell is paved with good intentions and lack of action
